Terms of service
Who we are. Bien à Vous is a small ink house based in Vancouver, British Columbia, operated by Hello It’s Danielle. You can reach us at bonjour@bienavous.ca. “We” and “us” in these terms mean Bien à Vous.
What we sell. A monthly envelope containing a numbered collector’s tin with three short standard international ink cartridges, a letter about the colour, and a blank postcard. We sell it two ways:
• A Year of Ink: $204 CAD, paid once, for twelve monthly envelopes from January to December 2027, with a Kaweco Classic Sport fountain pen in the first envelope. It doesn’t renew.
• The monthly subscription: $19 CAD a month, plus postage. It renews each month until you stop it. It doesn’t include a pen.
A Kaweco Classic Sport fountain pen can be added to any order for $39 CAD.
Will it fit your pen. Our cartridges are short standard international cartridges. They fit Kaweco, J. Herbin, Graf von Faber-Castell and most pens that take international cartridges. They don’t fit Pilot, Platinum, Sailor, Parker or Lamy pens. Please check before you order.
Prices and taxes. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Postage is shown at checkout. GST (or HST in participating provinces) and, for BC addresses, PST are added at checkout. We may change prices for future orders at any time. If we change the monthly price, we’ll email subscribers at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can stop before it does.
How the monthly subscription is billed. Your first payment is taken when you subscribe and covers your first envelope. After that, your card is charged on the 1st of each month, starting 1 February 2027, until you stop. By subscribing, you agree to these recurring charges. You can stop or restart at any time before your next billing date from your account or by emailing us, and you won’t be charged again after you stop.
When your order ships. See our shipping policy. The first envelopes are posted in the first week of January 2027.
Cancelling and refunds. See our refund policy. If your first envelope hasn’t been posted by 31 January 2027, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
Gifts. If you give A Year of Ink, you’re responsible for giving us the recipient’s correct name and address. We’ll use them only to post the announcement and the envelopes.
The colours. Each shade is mixed for us and named by us. Colours look different on screens and on paper, and every swatch is brushed by hand, so no two labels are exactly alike.
Using fountain pen ink. Fountain pen ink can stain skin, clothing and surfaces. Keep cartridges away from children and don’t swallow the ink.
Our words and pictures. The text, letters and images on this site and in our envelopes belong to Bien à Vous. Please don’t copy them for commercial use without asking.
Liability. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under British Columbia consumer law. Apart from those rights, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Privacy. How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.
The law that applies. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
